The ocean is what keeps me balanced. When I look out and can’t see where the water ends and it reminds me to be where my feet are. I don’t know the size of the wave that is about to crash in and I can’t get back the one that was just here and now is gone.
Life is clearer to me here, lessons are often learned and I find peace.

“Live in your real”

The name for this blog just came to me one day. True knowledge is about the experiences we live in life and what we do with them. We must focus on what we are doing instead of comparing our lives to others.

Live

I know some that know at this moment their lives may not be long, but they are being lived to the fullest. Others have life to live, but aren’t living it. Yearning for the past or being paralyzed in fear for the future. Focused at the negative instead of finding the Joy.  Like each wave that comes into shore some are calm and some are brutal. We must learn to duck when they are rough  instead of fighting against them and enjoying the ride in when they are smooth.

In…

To be in something you are emerged.  You can’t go around it or jump over it.  You’re not fretting about when it will be over or longing for it  to never end. Be in the moment no matter the circumstance. Just like that storm that rolls in, predicted or unexpected sometimes it hits us before we’re prepared. Maybe your even sitting enjoying the peaceful break in between or fear grips us that it may come back later. On those really choppy days just know this to shall pass.

Your…

Are you living in your moments, or are you striving for someone else’s? Social media posts tend to show us the sunny not the rainy.  None of us are exempt from the rough waves even if they pretend to be.  Until we are content with our moment, we’re not living. Many just choose which moments to share. I have found the more you share, the good and the bad, the more real you become to others AND yourself.

Real…

I struggled with which way to spell it. What we are dealt is real, it’s our reality. It’s also about being honest with yourself and others.
It’s a picture reel.  Living in your snapshots not just taking them. Showing all of them not just the perfect ones.
It’s a fisherman on the pier. Reeling in and casting out. Sometimes we lose and sometimes we win, but keep casting and that’s where the learning and growing happens.
I leave you with this thought…
I hope to be an encourager. None of us are an expert at anything because we all can learn from each other.  Nobody is better then me and I am better than no one. We can all strive to have passion, but not perfection. We don’t have to agree with each other but we must listen  and value each other.  Let our “growing days”  be part of our story not our excuse.
Live in all your moments, even if don’t enjoy them all.
Each sunrise is different, but the sun is not changing we are.  We change each day and so do our circumstances.  It’s far more important to listen to others then just wanting to be heard. When I fall short I TRY and use it as a way to show others my mistakes. I look forward to inspiring each other as each of us “live in your real”
As I stand on at the surf, there are times the waves are rough and the fish don’t bite. But sometimes it’s calm and we pull the big one in…
